Malden Mills, the predecessor of Polartec, LLC, was founded in Massachusetts, USA in 1906.
In 1981, we developed synthetic fleece, and in 1991, we developed the same material under the POLARTEC® brand.
Furthermore, in 1993, we developed the world's first recycled fleece using recycled polyester, and have continued to create innovative materials ahead of the times.

POLARTEC® is a highly functional material that combines excellent heat retention, breathability, lightness, and durability, and is widely used in outdoor and sports, as well as military and fashion fields.
Today, it has grown into a material brand that offers a wide variety of fabrics, from base layers to waterproof shells.
